Launching Good Honest Content and our first course: writing for the web

Avoca Web Design mountains image small

We’ve been hard at work with Niki Morrell, our copywriter, creating a new site that focuses on helping you get better at creating website content through training and helpful free resources and blogs. We’re proud to introduce Good Honest Content.
Good Honest Content’s mission statement:

Good Honest Content is a labour of love from copywriting and website design professionals, Niki Morrell and Brendyn Montgomery. We’re passionate about great content. We want to help you write content that fits your brand, sells more products and engages your readers. We’ve got years of experience and countless client projects to draw on. We bring an Australasian perspective to the art of getting your message across online.

So how did all this come about?

Niki and I have been talking about how to help our clients with website content for a while and finally decided to get off our respective chuffs and do something about it. The about page on goodhonestcontent.com describes this process thus:

Good Honest Content came about after a web developer and a content creator sat down in late 2016 to brainstorm how they could best make their respective clients’ lives easier. Three cafes, one office meeting and a few long phone conversations later, they hit on a clear winner: understanding content. What it is. Why it’s important. How to create it and use it to best effect.

Our first website writing course

We’ve already created some great content about writing for websites and branding and we are developing a full online course. However to get that content into the hands of people straight away we’ve decided to run an in person course in Nelson on the 26th of August.

So how will this course change my life?

Hopefully, you’ll learn stuff you didn’t know before, like how to generate a constant flow of great content ideas. We’ll show you how to be strategic about your website content so that it works hard for you. We’ll demonstrate that SEO is neither rocket science nor scary. And we’ll give you the tools to become a better writer.
We want you to leave our course brimming with excitement about creating beautiful, relevant web content. Sound good? Register here.
