We totally get it these are really stressful times where the it feels like the ground is shifting under our feet every hour. People and businesses are scrambling to keep up and act quickly to ensure they have a safe future ahead.
The brilliant and very prescient Johny O’Donnell from ShiftOn posted this fantastic message on Facebook this morning.
If you read nothing else about navigating your brand safely through this crisis, please take the time to read this.
Now is where the true mettle of our businesses, their leaders and the brands we rely on will be tested. Crisis will bring out the best and the worst of us.
Our plea is to let it bring out your best.
Take a breath. Take another. Now think about your business and your customers, ask how can you be helpful. Now, more than ever is the time to connect with your audience. Be helpful, be kind. We’re all in this together.
The other side of this (and there will be another side) will likely look very different to the way the business landscape looks now. Now is the perfect time to take stock and start working on your business rather than in it.
When we reach the other side of this, those businesses that put the work in during this down time, the ones that are already engaging with their audience, brimming with ideas, generating content and strategies will have a massive first mover advantage.
I’ll say again what Johny said, “Stop selling, start helping”.
