We helped Catherine and the team there redesign their website to modern standards. The old Fairfield House website was getting long in the tooth and wasn’t presenting the venue in it’s best light. We built a platform to promote the strengths of the venue, showcase photos and make it easy to find the information you are looking for. There are some delightful photos of the venue as it is often used for weddings and so we were able to use some excellent photography from various Nelson based wedding photographers.
We also focused on building a mobile responsive site with a good foundation for search engine optimisation to increase the number of visits from people interested in the hire of the venue to the website.
The old website had little SEO (search engine optimisation) work done on it and Catherine really wanted Fairfield to be visible in the search results. They particularly wanted Fairfield to come up and a wedding venue in Nelson. We did some SEO work before the site went live and the results have been very encouraging.
We also took the time to redesign the structure of the site to better reflect the different types of venue hire and the informational needs of each of those target groups. We were also able to incorporate some lovely sitemaps designed by our friend Kirsten of Revell Design.
Fairfield House is run by a trust, Friends of Old Fairfield, and has a strong community focus. We’re delighted to be able to help them do their good work by supporting the project with discounted development, website management and hosting services.
